Blas Mola-Yudego

Dr. Blas Mola-Yudego (D.Sc. Agriculture and Forestry) works as Senior Researcher (Professor competence) at the Norwegian Forest and Landscape Institute (Skog og Landskap). He is docent (Adj. Prof) in Biomass Production and Bioenergy at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) and Assc Prof at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Blas Mola-Yudego received his DSc in Forestry and Agriculture from UEF in 2009, specialized in modelling short rotation energy systems. He has worked as a lecturer at UEF and as a researcher at the Finnish Forestry Research Institute (METLA), and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in topics associated to bioenergy utilization. He has been visiting researcher at the Universidade Federal do Paraná (Brazil) and visiting lecturer at the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University (China) for several years, teaching on bioenergy development. His research includes modelling and spatial analysis as well as forest governance. He regularly collaborates with the department of Forest Technology at METLA, the department of Crop Production Ecology at SLU and the department of Forest Functioning & Dynamics at the Forest Sciences Centre of Catalonia (CTFC). He is member of the Institute for Natural Resources, Environment and Society and founding member of EduSilva, an association for the promotion of the forestry education.
